In a bold departure from the conventional norms of photography, New York-based fine art and portrait photographer, Steven Menendez, is challenging the status quo with his latest series of images. Through his lens, Menendez explores the beauty of the male form in classical settings, seeking to bring a sense of spiritual bliss to his work.
“Clothes block the flow of our energy and can symbolically bind us to society and all the constraints that it represents,” Menendez explains. “By being naked, we can feel completely free and lay bare in the beauty of our true selves.”
Menendez’s work has already garnered widespread recognition and praise. He was a recipient of the Nude Photo Shoot Awards in 2020, named among the Top 10 Black and White Photographers in the World by OneEyeLand, and has been exhibited at the prestigious Leslie Lohman Museum of Art.
Menendez launched a website featuring his most iconic prints, which are now available for purchase at StevenMenendezArtPrints.com.
