Sources close to the couple claimed that Edwards had been asking Cher to record two albums under his direction, and the star had allegedly chafed at his bossy attitude in the recording studio, where he had reportedly barked orders at her. Radar noted that Cher was recently seen in Los Angeles without the massive diamond ring Edwards had given her, sparking rumors that their engagement was off.
Last December, rumors of their engagement had circulated on social media after Cher posted an image of a diamond ring on Twitter, which sparked congratulatory messages from numerous fans, who suggested that she get a pre-nuptial agreement to protect her riches in case of a divorce.
