In the latest episode of All Stars 8, fan-favorite contestant Kandy Muse has faced criticism for her impressive top-three finish in the Supermarket Ball challenge. As the queens showcased their grocery-store-inspired runway lewks, Muse confidently presented her Legendairy Queen, Fruitie Patootie, and werk-room-inspired designs. However, some Drag Race fans accused her of being “pushed” by producers to achieve such recognition. Unfazed by the negative comments, Muse took to Twitter to address her detractors head-on.
Responding to the allegations, Kandy Muse expressed her frustration, stating, “I get my first top placement after literally being safe for two weeks in a row and suddenly production is pushing me. B*tch, it ain’t my fault your fav wasn’t in the top, that ain’t got sh*t to do with me – go cry about it.” Firmly defending her performance, Muse emphasized the strength of her individual looks, dismissing claims that her top-three finish was undeserved.
Amidst the drama, one Twitter user questioned the legitimacy of Muse’s placement, suggesting that it was not deserving of recognition. In response, Kandy fired back, highlighting the uniqueness and quality of her designs. She asserted, “‘It was hardly a top placement’ except… it was a top placement. Same silhouette or not – alone, these are three strong looks that stand on their own. Go cry to your mother about it.”
Known for her outspoken nature, Kandy Muse has never shied away from controversy. In an interview prior to joining All Stars 8, she embraced her polarizing character, stating, “I’m always going to be the main character, whether you like it or not.” Despite facing negativity in the past, Muse made it clear that she would remain true to herself and not compromise her authenticity for anyone’s approval. Her Bronx roots and unapologetic attitude will continue to shine throughout the competition.
As the tensions rise on All Stars 8, Kandy Muse’s fiery spirit is not the only one captivating audiences. Another fan-favorite queen has already hinted at leaving the competition in the companion show, Untucked, adding even more anticipation and excitement to the season. Should she follow through, an unexpected queen may join the Fame Games sooner than anticipated.
