Formed in London back in 1999, Mis-Teeq burst onto the scene with their debut album ‘Lickin’ on Both Sides’ in 2001, featuring hits that defined a generation. After splitting in 2005, Alesha Dixon went on to have a glittering solo career, producing several queer cult classics like ‘The Boy Does Nothing’ and ‘Breathe Slow’. Speaking to British Vogue after the announcement, Dixon shared her excitement: “It feels like it is just slotting back into place.” She added, “It’s just like it used to be – me saying too much and them two looking at me like, ‘Oh, here she goes!’”
What about the other members? Lead vocalist Sabrina Washington transitioned to TV before making a return to music in 2010 with her hit “OMG (Oh My Gosh)”. Meanwhile, Su-Elise Nash hinted at her own musical comeback in 2009 with an R&B debut album that sadly never saw the light of day. But now, the trio is back together, and we couldn’t be more thrilled!
So, dust off your platform shoes and get ready to groove because Mis-Teeq is back and ready to take us on a nostalgic journey like no other. Will you be there to witness this iconic reunion? We know we will be! 💖
