Darren Star’s hit romantic comedy series, “Uncoupled,” will return with a new home after being cancelled by Netflix. Showtime has announced that it has “saved” the show and has picked it up for a second season. Starring Neil Patrick Harris, Tuc Watkins, and Tisha Campbell, the first season of the rom-com premiered on Netflix in July 2022 and was cancelled just six months later. Despite generally favorable reviews, the streaming giant decided not to renew the series. The show’s second season will now be available on Showtime, which is currently being bundled within the Paramount+ streaming service as a premium add-on.
The announcement has come as great news for fans of the show who were disappointed by Netflix’s decision. The merger between Showtime and Paramount+ means that the distinction between the two services will be minimal. The series will join other popular shows like The L Word: Generation Q, Yellowjackets, and I Love That for You in the new platform.
It remains unclear when “Uncoupled” season two will premiere on Showtime. However, the move to a new platform has undoubtedly given the show a new lease of life and an opportunity to explore new romantic storylines for its characters.
