Day 1 of L.A. Pride’s Pride in the Park 2023, held on June 9-10, set the bar high, offering an unforgettable experience for attendees from all walks of life. The event boasted an impressive lineup, with powerhouse performances by Megan Thee Stallion and the legendary Mariah Carey, who graciously serenaded her devoted queer fans.
“I’m thrilled and honored to be a part of LA Pride 2023,” Carey expressed. “I am happy to be back in person celebrating with the LGBTQIA+ community here in Southern California and throughout all of the lands. Let’s come together to celebrate love, inclusion, and Pride.”
The celebration continued on Day 2 with equally enchanting performances from King Princess, Violet Chachki, Gottmik, Sasha Colby, Jenevieve, Vincint, Mad Tsai, and Minke. The multi-stage concert experience, known as Pride in the Park, was brought to life by the Christopher Street West Association (CSW), a nonprofit organization with a rich history of producing the iconic LA Pride celebration for over five decades. Notably, CSW organized the very first recognized Pride parade in 1970, commemorating the historic 1969 Stonewall riots.
