In a sneak peek from the upcoming season of Netflix’s popular reality show, “Selling Sunset,” Chrishell Stause, one of the show’s breakout stars, displays unwavering resilience as she confronts misgendering regarding her nonbinary partner, G Flip.
The clip captures a tense exchange between Stause and Marie-Lou Nuerk, the girlfriend of Jason Oppenheim, leader of the Oppenheim Group and Stause’s former partner. During their conversation, Nuerk inadvertently misgenders G Flip while discussing their past interactions.
Stause, unapologetically, corrects Nuerk, stating, “Okay, my partner is nonbinary, they use they/them pronouns, this is a simple thing.” She emphasizes the importance of recognizing her partner’s gender identity and makes it clear that this lack of understanding reflects a deeper disconnect between them.
Chrishell Stause has consistently been an advocate for LGBTQ rights and proudly embraces her queerness. Her relationship with G Flip has been a significant part of her journey, with the couple getting married earlier this year after one year of dating. Stause publicly announced their relationship on a reunion episode of Selling Sunset in May 2022 and later shared their wedding joy on Instagram, where she described their love as “immeasurably better” than planned.
The new season of Selling Sunset, premiering on Netflix this Friday, November 3, promises not only high-stakes real estate drama but also a platform for important LGBTQ discussions, exemplified by Stause’s unwavering commitment to raising awareness about gender identity and inclusivity.
