Elliot Page, the “Umbrella Academy” actor and transgender advocate, has been announced as one of the faces of Gucci’s upcoming fragrance campaign. Alongside him are “Ozark” star Julia Garner and rapper A$AP Rocky. The campaign, titled “Gucci Guilty,” is set to debut on March 1, and will feature the trio as they explore themes of self-acceptance, friendship, and love.
The Italian fashion house released teaser images of the campaign, shot by British fashion photographer Glen Luchford, in which Page can be seen wearing a Hawaiian-style shirt and confidently staring into the camera. Gucci has made a conscious effort to promote inclusivity and diversity in its recent campaigns, and this one is no exception.
The Gucci Guilty campaign seeks to challenge traditional gender roles and celebrate love in all its forms. By featuring a transgender actor, a female actress, and a male rapper, Gucci is promoting inclusivity and breaking down the boundaries that have traditionally separated different groups. As the campaign’s tagline says, “We are all Guilty,” implying that all of us should be proud of who we are and embrace our unique identities.
