In a recent Instagram post, RuPaul’s Drag Race season 13 star Gottmik announced that he has successfully updated his legal name and gender marker on his personal forms of identification. The post, which features a photo of Gottmik ID card, reveals that his legal name is now Kade Gottlieb and that his gender marker is listed as “M” for male.
Many of Gottmik’s fellow Drag Race contestants and other celebrities have taken to the comments section to congratulate him on the news. Violet Chachki, Gottmik’s best friend and fellow Drag Race star, wrote “My god!!!”, while Eureka commented “Yassss daddy.” Model Heidi Klum replied with “Yipppppiiiii,” and fashion designer Jeremy Scott wrote “HOT BOY DRIVING A HOT ROD!”
In the post, Gottmik wrote that “changing my name and gender marker has been a PROCESS but it is finally DONE,” highlighting the personal significance of the achievement. Fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race can catch Gottmik and the other contestants on the show’s 15th season, airing Fridays on MTV.
