Kristen Stewart, known for her iconic roles and her engagement to Dylan Meyer, has clarified that celebrity chef Guy Fieri won’t be officiating their wedding, dispelling rumors of what could have been one of the most memorable celebrity weddings. On a recent episode of “What What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” Stewart revealed her initial desire to have Fieri officiate the wedding due to their shared fashion sense and hair, along with Fieri’s reputation for marrying many queer couples.
Stewart humorously recounted, “So I heard that and I was like, ‘Guy, my Guy? You kidding me?'” While Fieri’s representatives did express interest, Stewart’s admission of being “bad at planning stuff” led her and Meyer to reconsider their plans. They may opt for a more private ceremony and later inform Fieri that he was there “in spirit.”
The idea of Fieri officiating their wedding first emerged in 2021 when Stewart mentioned it on “The Howard Stern Show.” She expressed her delight at the prospect of the “sweet, sweet, spikey-headed man” presiding over their nuptials. Guy Fieri, known for his charitable work, notably officiated 101 gay weddings in Miami in honor of his late sister, who was gay.
Stewart originally announced her engagement during the same 2021 interview on “The Howard Stern Show,” where she shared her excitement about marrying Dylan Meyer. When asked about their wedding date by Andy Cohen, Stewart playfully replied, “I don’t know, we’re gonna sort of surprise ourselves,” leaving fans eagerly awaiting further details of their impending nuptials.
