A Los Angeles teacher, Christian Shearhod, took his 3-year-old son, Ashton, for a manicure after the child came home from school upset because his teacher told him that painting nails is only for girls.
In a video that has garnered over 4 million views on TikTok, Ashton is seen proudly choosing the color pink for his manicure.
Shearhod says he wants his son to live life to the fullest and not be limited by strict gender norms.
Despite receiving some negative comments and questions, Shearhod uses his platform on TikTok to advocate for LGBTQ students and inspire them to be themselves.
