Jacob Elordi and Diego Calva are set to make hearts flutter in the upcoming period drama On Swift Horses, based on Shannon Pufahl’s 2019 novel of the same name. The film follows newlyweds Muriel and Lee, played by Daisy Edgar-Jones and Will Poulter, as they navigate their way through a tumultuous new chapter following Lee’s return from the Korean War. However, their happiness is short-lived as they become embroiled in a dangerous love triangle with Lee’s troubled younger brother, Julius, played by Elordi, and Las Vegas card swindler, Henry, played by Calva.
While fans eagerly await the release of the film, Calva has teased some pretty intense on-screen moments between him and Elordi. Speaking to Variety, he revealed that they have some “pretty hot scenes” that viewers will have to wait to see. However, some are skeptical, given recent disappointments in other shows promising queer representation but failing to deliver.
Directed by Daniel Minahan, best known for his work on Game of Thrones and True Blood, On Swift Horses has already divided queer social media users. While some are excited about the casting and any intimacy scenes between Elordi and Calva, others remain skeptical. Regardless, this steamy period drama is sure to keep viewers on the edge of their seats when it is released.
