Jinkx Monsoon, the internationally known RuPaul’s Drag Race winner, has announced her biggest concert tour ever. The tour, titled ‘Everything’s At Stake’, will feature Jinkx, Major Scales and a full rock band performing music from Jinkx’s two albums, The Ginger Snapped and The Inevitable Album. Jinkx’s fans will also be treated to new tracks from her upcoming three-part album, The Virgo Odyssey.
The theme of the tour originated from the “fan reaction” to Jinkx’s All Stars 7 runway, which took inspiration from “witch hunts that existed in the olden days”. In an interview with EW, Jinkx explained the parallel between the witch trials and what’s “happening right now with the queer, trans, and LGBTQIA+ community – the witch hunt we’re experiencing as we take on the patriarchy.”
Jinkx said, “It’s Everything at Stake because this is the most attention I’ve had on me in some time, and I want to show the world why I deserve that attention. That’s where it started, and since coming to this title, the world continues to be a f—ing s— show.” Jinkx is known for being opinionated and outspoken, and the tour’s title has multiple meanings that will find its way into her work. The tour is set to begin on 12 June and will travel to more than 40 cities across North America.
Jinkx Monsoon is no stranger to breaking boundaries. In the past 12 months, she has won five challenges in RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 7, made her Broadway debut in Chicago, and released her own sketch series on WOW Presents Plus with her comedy partner Liam Krug. Jinkx’s run in Chicago has been met with overwhelming critical acclaim, with TheatreMania hailing her as “one of the great belters presently working on the American stage”. As a result of her role in Chicago, Jinkx made herstory as the first Drag Race alum to guest star on Late Night with Seth Meyers. Fans can expect to see all of Jinkx’s performance muscles flexed on the ‘Everything’s At Stake’ tour.
