LGBTQ+ streaming service Froot.TV is gearing up for the fifth season of its hit drag competition series, Camp Wannakiki. Set to premiere in the UK on June 6, the show will feature ten talented drag artists vying for the title of Queen or King of Camp.
A Unique Spin on Drag Competitions
In this one-of-a-kind series, contestants will live at a real summer camp, where each episode follows their daily lives as they participate in classic camp activities such as water sports and archery. Every night, the drag artists will take part in a talent show, showcasing themed looks to secure their place in the competition.
A Battle for Badges and Survival
Surviving contestants earn badges, while those eliminated are sent packing with the phrase “take a hike.” Camp directors The Sugarbaker Twins, camp counselor Ruthie, and ranger danger Eddie Danger will oversee the competition. Special guest appearances include Drag Race UK vs the World winner Blu Hydrangea, Drag Race US star Utica, and renowned artist Erika Klash.
An Entertaining Take on a Classic Setting
Camp Wannakiki is a Froot and OUTtv original, produced by Sugarbaker Productions. Philip Webb, COO of OUTtv, praised the show for its entertaining reinterpretation of the traditional camp setting, emphasizing the unique comedic flair each contestant brings to the series.
The new season will span 10 episodes and features a diverse and talented cast hailing from cities across the United States. Viewers can look forward to meeting the full cast when Camp Wannakiki Season 5 premieres on Froot.TV on June 7.
