Joe Tasker, the presenter of the CBBC’s Saturday Mash-Up Live!, has revealed that he is gay in an emotional vlog. He also introduced his boyfriend, fellow YouTube star Jack Biggs, to his fans. Prior to posting the video on Sunday, Tasker had tweeted that he was scared to upload it. In the 20-minute piece, he describes how he came out to friends during university, and his attempts to suppress his sexuality earlier in life. He was met with support from fans following the announcement.
Tasker is best known for his work with puppet monster Stanley, played by Dave Chapman, and for appearing alongside celebrities on Saturday Mash-Up Live! CBBC is the dedicated children’s channel of the BBC.
